Differences between Air Max 1 and Air Max 90

Do we really need to talk about Nike? You must already know that it’s one of the best-known brands in the world due to its sport shoes and due to the quality of their materials. This is why on today’s post we focus on its Air Max model, but which one? In truth, there are different variations of this model, among which the most popular are Air Max 1 and Air Max 90. The Nike Air Max 1 were the first ones to be produced, in 1987, with the now iconic air chamber, which is visible on the side of the sole, in the heel. Then, as time went by, Nike developed into the brand that we now know and, shortly after Air Max 1, the Air Max 90 appeared, also characterized for their visible air chamber in the midsole.

Then, what are the differences between these two models? Well, if you look closely at all the Air Max sneakers that we have available at EscapeShoes, you’ll see that there is a difference that is quite evident. Will you be able to find out what it is? Look really well to each side of the Air Max 90 sneakers and then to the Air Max 1. Can you find out what is on some and not on the others? That’s right? It’s the word Air Max that appears on only the Air Max 90 models, just underneath the famous Nike’s logo.

There are still other differences that may not be appreciated at first glance, namely regarding the materials. For example, there is a slight difference of the sole’s density between the two models, in which the Air Max 90 sneakers have a slightly more robust sole to make it even more resistant and durable.

 

Cheaper Air Max 1 models

Now, we’ll talk about what really matters: discounts. The quality of the materials used by Nike and the cushioning of its soles are unquestionable, but when we can have its sneakers for a more accessible price, it’s even better! And, as you can see, both have the word Air Max underneath the logo of this American brand and have the part of the midsole with the air chamber more distinguishable in a different colour than the rest of the sole, in one case in green and on the other in blue. It’s exactly this part that’s more dense and robust.
