Cubanas Collection 2015 2016 – Feminine and original flats and shoes!

Today on the EscapeShoes blog, we’ll talk about a small part of the immense new collection of this Portuguese brand, Cubanas. I admit that with each year I become more of a fan of this Portuguese brand, but is that really that surprising? With each new collection, Cubanas offers us sophisticated and elegant models, able to adapt to any situation, and at the same time with original and different designs. And this season, that’s no exception!

On today’s EscapeShoes post, we’ll talk about the new Cubanas collection 2015 / 2016, more specifically about the new models of:

•          Flat shoes
•          High heel shoes
•          Wedge shoes

As you look at the list above, it may seem a little bit short. It’s true that on this post we’ll not talk about the boots, the ankle boots or even the so requested Rainy wellies, but don’t worry, because we’ll cover them on another occasion. 😉

So, we’ll talk about their fantastic flats and shoes and about their contrasts of texture, metallized colours and bold designs. The best of all is that each one of these shoes can be used during any time of the year, not just autumn and winter, and also for the most diverse occasions. Are you eager to get started?

 

Flat shoes

At first glance, the Cubanas flat shoes have a simple and classic design, but as you examine them up close, you notice that there’s something that differentiates them from the others, and, in this case, the aspect that stands out the most is the use of two different materials. As an example of that, look closely at the two images below:

I think that you already realize what we’re talking about before. On one hand, the Beauty 820 Almond Gold are made entirely of leather, but of two different kids. And the difference between the two isn’t merely a matter of colour, but also texture. The dominant leather on the sides of the shoes has a golden brown colour and a textured surface, while the leather that is on the toecap, heel and opening has a smoother texture and a more greyish shade of brown. This smooth leather not only reinforces the most delicate areas, but also makes the gold stand out even more!

On the other hand, the Beauty 830 Multi are made of two completely different materials: black leather and multi-coloured wool fabric. They are perfect for those that like the classic black flat shoes, but also want a little bit of colour with their look! Furthermore, their wool, in shades of green, brown, fuchsia, red, yellow, white, blue and purple, is very soft to the touch.

As you look at each one of these flat shoes, it’s easy to understand where the name Beauty comes from, because both of them are absolute gorgeous! But we still have more beautiful models for you, so let’s keep going…

 

High heel shoes

Perhaps you remember a post that we did almost a year ago, about the best shoes for any occasion. On that post, we also talked about a Cubanas high heel model, which we thought satisfied three important conditions: elegance, comfort and trend for a lifetime. Well, these two models also fulfil those qualities and, best of all, are high heel shoes! Ideal for formal situations, during which you want to feel elegant.

Once again, despite their simple design, both shoes stand out and have some elements that make them truly special. The Sporty 720 Camel, in the same way as the flat shoes mentioned previously, differentiate due to the contrast of textures of their materials, which are smooth leather and velvety suede. I simply love their camel colour, i.e. light brown with a touch of mustard yellow. It can match with everything!

However, if what you want is a pair of shoes that match with any colour, there’s nothing better than a pair of black shoes, and these are really versatile! Contrarily to the previous shoes, these Mist 130 Black are made entirely of smooth leather. Then, what is it that stands out in this model? It’s its irreverent and original design, because if you look closely you’ll notice that it seems that they are composed of two pieces, one covering the toecap and another, the sides and the heel. Besides, they have a discreet platform, to compensate the heel’s height, and a non-sticky pattern underneath the sole, so that you can always have a stable and secure walk wherever you may go!

 

Wedge shoes

I confess that I love both models in this category! Inspired by the classic Oxford lace shoes, what makes them special is their wedge, which provides you the height that you desire and, at the same time, the comfort that you need while walking.

Since metallized colours are so in fashion right now, the Cult 5000M Pewter are ideal for you! Their Pewter colour, which is a shade of grey with a touch of copper, is a discreet colour, but it doesn’t go unnoticed. And it matches really well with their caramel brown shoelaces. And on the second image, you’ll be able to see these same shoes, but in black, which, as mentioned before, is perfect to match with anything.

Before finishing, we would like to ask if you noticed an element that is on almost every model that we showed you on this post. If you need a hint, we can tell you that it’s something that alludes to Cubanas. That’s right! It’s the star-shaped metallic stud that is on the side of the heel, except on the Mist black shoes, where this same symbol is on the pattern of their sole.
