And the young blogger from Like Crystal Water, Joana Silva, immediately took the opportunity to place the order of one of the most beautiful pairs of Converse sneakers from this 2016 collection. As expected, we immediately wanted to ask her to join us in a little interview to learn the reason why she chose this specific model among so many equally practical and versatile. The best of all? She said yes! And that’s why on today’s post we’ll share with you her answers so that you can learn what makes these All Star Biscuit White so irresistible.

However, before learning the reasons that took Joana to choose this specific model, we asked her a few questions to find out why she chose Converse in the first place.

JULIA – When you decided to order these Converse, were you unsure between other brands? If so, which ones?

JOANA – Yes, initially I even thought about a pair of UGG Australia sandals, already thinking about summer and the holidays. However, a pair of sneakers was the most fitting for the time.

JULIA – Were you always a fan of Converse?

JOANA – Yes. I remember buying Converse when I was 10/11 years old, and then after that I went through the Adidas phase (which is now back again) and when at university, at 18 years old, I went back to buying a pair of Converse that I used until no more. After that, I was again some time without using, and last year I bought a pair of white ones and a pair of black ones that were my summer shoes.

JULIA – At EscapeShoes, we’ve several different models from Converse and in many colours. What were the reasons to choose this one specifically?

JOANA – This specific model was my choice due to the fact that it’s made of leather and due to my wish of starting to wear them as soon as I bought them. We know that Converse makes good shoes, but during the winter they’re not the best choice, since the fabric is thin and they don’t protect your feet from the cold really well. But with these Converse All Star, I’m ready for the coldest days and for summer.

That’s right. What truly differentiates these All Star sneakers from the rest is the fact that they’re completely made of leather. However, they’ve also another important detail. Have you noticed the small dots across their surface? Well, those are perforations that allow your foot to breathe. Hence the name Biscuit, since the leather reminds us of a typical rich tea biscuit.

JULIA – What was your very first impression when you opened the box and saw the sneakers for the very first time?

JOANA – I was happy with the quality. Not that I’m used to bad quality from Converse, on the contrary, but I never had a leather model. The finishes and the material are in fact very good.

JULIA – When you tried them on and walk around with them for the very first time, what did you feel?

JOANA – Absolute comfort. The leather’s malleable, the suede interior’s fantastic and the canvas on the heel keeps it from hurting as you walk.

JULIA – During which occasions do you usually wear these Converse?

JOANA – During the most varied occasions. Either in the day-to-day or to go out or even during slightly more formal events. To be honest, in case they stay in good conditions until August, I’m thinking of wearing them to my wedding as back-up shoes. If I get tired of high heels, I already know that I can expect good company with my Converse.

JULIA – How bold, sneakers at a wedding! And with which type of clothes to you usually wear them?

JOANA – Since they’re white, they’re very versatile. They look great either with dresses or with jeans. If you want to bet on a completely white, a more girly or even a sportier outfit, you have right here a good ally.

JULIA – Thank you for the tip! Now, almost finishing, if you had to define these Converse sneakers with three adjectives, what would they be?

JOANA – Comfortable, versatile and classic.

JULIA – Do you have any idea of what will be your next purchase at EscapeShoes?

JOANA – I’m still waiting for all the new models, but it’ll probably be something related to heat and summer. A pair of flat or high heeled sandals is never too much. On the other hand, these Converse also caught my eye…

It’s certainly an interesting choice. As you can see more detailed on the second image, these All Stars Black White Gold are covered by black sequins with light touches of gold, which provides them a certain glow that makes them stand out.
