My favourite shoes for 2016

As soon as the good weather comes to stay, I start by taking out my summer clothes and keeping cosier clothes away, and that includes shoes. See you next time boots, hello sandals! I love this moment of getting back things that I didn’t use since a year ago. However, at times, during this reunion with past seasons, you realize that you need a change of look, that those espadrilles that you liked so much are a wreck or that, for some strange reason, your feet have grown and nothing fits… Relax! In my opinion, there are several indispensable types of shoes for the warm months of the year: closed, casual and comfortable shoes that you can use daily; versatile sandals that allow you to match with cheerful and relaxed looks as well as more elegant looks; a good and cool pair of sneakers for outings to the countryside or mountain; and of course a pair of high heeled shoes, for more special occasions, night parties, celebrations… shall we start?

I’ve always liked simple sandals, without too many details, which can be used day-to-day and adapt to all my changes of style. So, when I saw these brown sandals, I fell in love: they’re the Vintage Baako sandals from Dkode, closed at the front and with a small heel, and the Fly London Yoko Yera523 sandals, in the same colour and with a wedge slightly higher on the back.

I’ve always liked the countryside, to go hiking on the mountain, take walks while picking up small things in nature… so I believe that a good pair of sneakers or boots is indispensable of any adventure-seeker’s wardrobe. During winter, we choose waterproof shoes, well insulated inside, taller and, most of all, heavier. In summer, I prefer lightweight, breathable and colourful shoes, like these sneakers:

On the first photograph, the Siren Sport Raspberry sneakers, in shades of pink and grey, with materials that allow the foot to breath, while always keeping it dry and cool, and with Vibram soles that provide a better grip to the ground. And next to them, the Killington Oxford Sleet sneakers, which combine synthetic material and leather, with flexible and incredibly light rubber soles. They’re designed to play soft sports and to be comfortable during any moment of the day. What do you think?

Sometimes, they are certain sneakers that aren’t what we need, since they’re too… sporty. I like to have a pair of comfortable and flexible shoes that are pleasant for my feet and with a current touch. It’s the case of these two models, the Serraje Mustard suede shoes from MTNG and the Vans Authentic Liberty Paisly sneakers with floral print … Which ones do you prefer?

And to finish, what usually isn’t missing in the wardrobe of any woman is a pair of high heeled sandals. Even though I don’t consider myself a fan of this type of shoes, I must say that these that I show you seem gorgeous to me, especially when worn. Sometimes, a pair of shoes only catches our eyes when we see them worn, and that’s the case with these high heeled Triple Strap sandals from Xuz, handmade, and the Glam Gort645 from Fly London, with the typical wedges from this line, made of natural cork. Just look!
