Fly London and its new spring/summer collection 2017 come full of sandals for all tastes, and… would you expect anything different from this Portuguese brand? You already know that they offer a subtle elegance to any woman that wears its shoes. Besides, quality and comfort are always guaranteed, as you’ve certainly already noticed if you’re one the lucky ones that already have a pair of these sandals in your wardrobe. And yes, I say only a sample because its collection is so big that you’d need more than one post to talk about it all!

First and foremost, we’d like to mention that the brand’s huge bet for this spring / summer collection 2017 was colours. It’s nothing new for the brand to add new colours in its collections, but this season Fly London went beyond by not only creating different shades or colours, but by also reinventing a few classic colours that are a trend nowadays. For example, regarding shades, we’ve the usual Tan and Camel, which are both different shades of brown, but there are also different shades of brighter colours, such as red. It’s a jolly colour ideal for summer, and now you can choose a slightly darker red, like the one of the Glam Gara937 Red, or a brick red, i.e. with an orange touch, like the one of the Yellow Yuna Brick. And the best of all is that both pairs present a very elegant and feminine design, as you can see:

Another difference that you might have noticed between the two pairs above it’s their soles. There are two footwear lines from Fly London that are especially known for their soles, Yellow and Glam. The Yellow line’s famous for its rubber wedges that offer a very comfortable walk, and given its popularity of course that now they’ve new colours to satisfy every taste, for example light and pastel colours, which are always a summer trend. Look closely at the shade of light pink of the Yellow Yadi718 Rose… Isn’t it dreamy? It’s so feminine and, when combined with their design, you have a really loving pair of shoes. On the other hand, the Yellow Yini727 Concrete sandals present a light shade of taupe, i.e. combination between beige and grey. It’s the perfect colour to match with all the clothes in your wardrobe, without having to use such a dark colour like black or something boring like white. Being the two colours, which one would you choose for you?

Another line of Fly London sandals famous for its soles is Glam, with its very light cork midsoles that insulate temperature, ideal for warmer days. This midsole has suffered many changes over the years, having now a more elegant and durable finish. However, their improved soles are not the only thing that’s new, because new colours were also added to this footwear line. More precisely, two fashionable colours were reinvented. These colours are silver and gold, but with a twist! The leather has a cracked surface that exposes the brown background underneath, thus creating a unique and original effect, as you can see by looking at the Glam Gort645 Pearl, in silver, and the Glam Grin Luna, in gold and with the cork midsole with a more rustic finish and not so high.
