The ideal shoes for water sports – Summer at EscapeShoes

On this post, we will talk about the ideal shoes for sports and other physical activities that occur near water.

Of course, if what you want is to play some of these sports in a more professional manner, you should consult an expert about what are the most suitable shoes and clothes, but if you just want to have fun doing something that you’ve never done before, there are 3 main aspects to take into account when you are deciding what shoes to use:

1.        They have to let the air circulate and, thus, allow your feet to breathe better. When you are doing any physical activity, it is common that you have stuffy and sweaty feet if you are using more closed shoes, hence the importance of a type of shoes that are more ventilated.
2.        They have to be resistant and durable, thus offering the needed protection to your feet. Many of the places where these activities take place are on rough and sharps terrains, like river beds or coral reefs. Therefore, it is very important that your feet are well protected and comfortable.
3.        They have to let the water pass through. As it is obvious, when you are near water, it is probable that you get your feet wet. However, so that you don’t have shoes filled with water, it is recommendable to use shoes with mesh, or something similar, which lets water pass through, and thus you still get to have really fresh feet. 😉
