Surely you’ve heard of Melissa, right? If you still haven’t heard of this amazing Brazilian shoe brand, you don’t even know what you’re missing! Actually, it’s so adored that in 2005 it decided to open its first art gallery in São Paulo. Yes, you’ve read it right, art gallery! It’s the perfect mix of fashion and art, in which several artists took Melissa shoes to create authentic works of art. And this one in São Paulo was only the first one, because in 2012 it opened another gallery in New York, one of the biggest cultural centres in the world! And only two years later, it opened the first gallery in European territory, in the city of London. As you can see, Melissas are conquering the world!

The first gallery in São Paulo is more specifically in Oscar Freire Street, famous as one of the main international shopping destinations. The space’s conceptualized by multimedia artist Muti Randolph and it shows a metamorphic façade that’s renewed with each collection and is constantly transformed by different artists and Melissa’s collaborators. Even though the design of the other two galleries is also imagined by the same artist, there’s care of seeking inspiration from the cities where they are and create truly unique and interesting spaces, thus making each one of the galleries special and representative of both the place where they are and Melissa.
