Reinventing “old skool” shoes!

When spring arrives, some other good things arrive as well. For example, the new collections for this season, which cheer anyone up! The days last longer, it’s bright and sunny and the cold’s gone, so we can finally go back to wearing those bright-coloured clothes that were kept away for a whole year inside our wardrobe waiting for this very same moment! But, of course, it’s always necessary to add a few new pieces to our wardrobe, and there’s nothing better than Vans shoes to offer that touch of colour while also maintaining the comfort that only this brand can provide. That’s why on today’s EscapeShoes, we’ll give you a chance to know its new spring summer collection 2017!

In general, this collection is based on the Old Skool model, one of the brand’s very first that has the classic and worldwide famous side strip. The first two pairs that we’ll talk about are for women, and they’re perfect, believe it! The Old Skool Crystal Blue True White are the firsts that you can see in the picture below and, as their name implies, they’re in light or baby blue with the classic side strip in white. They’re made of canvas and very versatile due to their light colour. They’re gorgeous, right?

The second pair, which is personally is one of my favourites, has a very special detail next to the white side strip. These Zip Leather Wind Chime Blanc have a zipper! Yes, you’ve read it right! It’s a zipper that isn’t decorative, but allows you to put on and take off these shoes. This way you don’t even need to use the shoelaces! It’s amazing, right? This model’s also very versatile due to their light grey leather! There are only perks with this pair, as if it couldn’t be more perfect… just look:

The next pairs that we’ll talk about are for men and, in this case, Vans doesn’t slack off! This year, it presents very versatile Old Skool models in terms of colour, but that surprises us with the combination of textures and materials that it decided to use! The Dress Blues True White (on the left) and the Canvas Suede Tornado True White (on the right) are models that seem like simple canvas Vans at first, but if you look closely and attentively, you’ll notice that the toecap, the area of the eyelets and the heel are made of suede! Both in dark blue and grey, they’re ideal for your day-to-day, either for the workplace or to go out with your friends! Don’t you think that both are utterly irresistible?
